Micha Wagner assumes management as CxO at Rosa Waeng
Micha has been a prominent figure in Düsseldorf’s advertising scene for 15 years. Starting his own venture as a developer and designer at the age of 23, he transitioned between the creative and entrepreneurial sides, working with major agencies from networks like Omnicom, WPP, and IPG. He managed numerous campaigns for global brands like Nissan, L’Oréal, Porsche, Sanofi, Pernod Ricard, Imperial Brand, and others before taking over creative management at a Düsseldorf-based agency just before the pandemic. Afterward, he spent three years in the startup community, founding several companies.
Micha’s mission at Rosa Waeng is to propel the digital agency into the next powerhouse for SMEs, meeting the burgeoning demand for exceptional advertising quality – and to give small enterprises the same advantage when competing with the industry’s behemoths.
“During the early days of the pandemic, when many industries slowed down, I saw an opportunity to step back from advertising and explore new avenues. While others were figuring out how to spend their time, we were developing five business plans—most of which I founded myself. But currently, my main focus is on Rosa Waeng and I will probably reduce my involvement in the other companies a little. It feels like a logical step, combining my expertise in IT, advertising, and digitalization. Our startup experience has given us a broader perspective, focusing on entrepreneurship and the growth of grassroots companies.
This kind of flexibility was difficult within the constraints of large global networks, where specialization is often prioritized. Coordinating between national, global, and international teams was sometime ‘challenging’. The advertising industry is also more intricate and ‘political’ than it appears.
With our newly tailored services, we aim not only to help our clients attract more customers but also to enhance their ability to process these leads much more efficiently.
Our offerings allow for scalable sales and address the shortage of skilled workers through efficient digital workflows.
Woking with smaller clients also means direkt access to decision makers which saves an incredible amount of time.
We’ve already formed strong partnerships, and we’ll be sharing more details about them in the coming days.”
